The Tevis Cup Equestrian Endurance Ride

The Tevis Cup is a "100 Miles One Day Trail Ride" that begins in a short two weeks on August 5th, at 5:15 AM.  It follows a rugged portion of the Western States Trail which stretches from Salt Lake City, Utah to Sacramento. This annual endurance riding event is recognized as one the best test of horsemanship, truly a premier world event. It takes place starting north of Lake Tahoe and ends 100 miles south west in Auburn Ca. The elevation begins around 7000 feet above sea level and meanders to Emigrant Pass at 8,700 and finishes around 1,200 feet in Auburn.
